Between 1970 and 1983, Goldig Films produced and distributed over 100 Chinese movies, as well as handled the global distribution of over 50 non-local movies. Our movies, some with provocative titles, depict the lives of Hong Kong citizens and our society’s fabric and changing culture.
Topics such as drama, romance, action, and comedy, achieved outstanding box office revenues. Revenue of the earliest movies of notable actor Chow Yun-fat were outstanding despite some misleading negative media coverage. The local box office revenues of certain movies reached as high as HK$ 2 million.
